Rihanna Supports Palestine... For 8 Minutes

The Barbadian Pop star was quick to delete her Tweet after fans accused her of aligning with Hamas.

Ever the one to stir controversy, Rihanna became an Arab yesterday... Until she wasn't. The Diamonds star plugged into the #FreePalestine hashtag on Twitter, with a simple, straightforward Tweet that erupted on the social network. Within minutes, her display of solidarity with the people of Palestine who have been under heavy fire from Israeli forces over the last week, was Retweeted thousands of times. 

However, RiRi quickly deleted her message of support just eight minutes later, after being inundated with comments from Twitter users that accused her of supporting Hamas. TMZ reports that a source close to Rihanna said "She deleted it because it was never meant to be tweeted," adding, "She didn't even realize it was a tweet until she started hearing from her fans."
