Should knowing how to cook be a woman's prerequisite for marriage?
None of the girls on the Scene team are getting married. None of them. Not at this rate, anyway. According to Gulf News, a Saudi man just gave his wife the ultimate ultimatum: learn to cook in 20 days or I'm divorcing your ass. We're telling you, none of our girls are tying the knot. We can barely get them to properly order takeout.
After they got home from their honeymoon, the man found himself having traditional bread and peas and bean dishes - takeout, of course. Why? He asks. She confesses: I can't cook. And back to her mama's house she goes. The man left her at her parents' and threatened that, if she didn't learn to cook in 20 days, he's filing for divorce.
Of course, social media is having a field day with this one. Opinions are split somewhere between sympathy and outrage - between "he should've known what he was getting into, she should've told him" and "let's see him slaughter a sheep and then talk." Ah, the Internet. Good and faithful friend in times of comic relief.
So, where do you stand on this?
