UAE Ranked Second Safest Country in the World
According to Numbeo’s 2025 Safety Index, the UAE has been ranked the second safest country in the world, following Andorra and surpassing several global leaders in safety and security.

The United Arab Emirates has been ranked as the second safest country in the world, according to a recent study published by Numbeo’s 2025 Safety Index. The report positions the UAE just behind Andorra, with Taiwan, Singapore, and Finland rounding out the top five.
Numbeo is the world’s largest crowdsourced global database of quality-of-life information, providing statistics on safety, cost of living, healthcare, traffic, and more. Its Safety Index is based on user-submitted data concerning the perceived levels of crime, safety during daylight and night-time, and other local security factors.
The report highlighted the UAE’s extensive investment in security infrastructure, digital surveillance, and crisis preparedness, which have helped maintain a consistently low crime rate.
The UAE’s position ahead of countries such as Switzerland (ranked 6th), Iceland (7th), Denmark (8th), and Norway (9th) is a reflection of its robust policing systems, social stability, and public trust in institutions. The United States, in contrast, ranked 131st on the list.
