A man who tried to set the holy Kaaba on fire was arrested on Monday by Mecca's security forces, reports the Baghdad Post. The announcement was made in a statement by Saudi Security Authority on Tuesday.
A Saudi citizen, named Ghazi Darwish, reportedly caught the man pouring gasoline on the black veil covering Kaaba (Kiswa). Darwish rushed towards him while screaming for help to stop the man, who was reportedly yelling anti-Islam chants.
No further details were released on the incident.
