Following his success spreading the joy of pizza around Lebanon with ‘Pizzanini’ and its 24 branches, Joe Lahoud is now trying his hand at a true Lebanese classic—manouche. Fluffy, flavourful and topped with an assortment of mouthwatering toppings, Khayzaran Beirut’s light and crispy manouches are popping up everywhere around Cairo. Catch them in Heliopolis, Mohandessin, New Cairo and Sheikh Zayed.

Lebanese founder Joe Lahoud says the secret to the perfect manouche is making everything from scratch. “Our dough for all our baked goods are made fresh inside Khayzaran. We add special Lebanese spices to the ingredients to make special plates like our iconic Khayzaran Rocket—a family sized manouche that can be made to feature six different flavours.”

The Lebanese eatery adds a twist to all the classic fanfare from wrap sandwiches to mana2eesh to pizzas and even salads. Their wraps have the most variety offering everything from Chicken Escalope to Kafta and Hummus to Turkey and Cheese. Sorry, vegetarians. There’s nothing for you here. This is meat galore.

Don’t fret, though. The rest of the menu comes through with loads of vegetarian options like their vegetarian pizza topped with two layers of cheese and lots of fresh veggies. In the ‘furn’ section, aka those classic extra thin manouches, get lost in a world full of thyme, cheese and for those really looking to fill up, minced meat. Don’t miss out on their delicious tabbouleh or fattoush salad as a veggie-filled sidekick.

Must try items on the menu are their Manoucha Kafta Special spruced up with aromatic Lebanese spices for a unique and robust tasty, Shawerma (obviously) and for a savory/sweet surprise go for their Chocolate Mozzarella Wrap…yes you heard that right.
