Brain Training

Located in Maadi, the Lighthouse Learning Center (LLC) is specialised in aiding students with dyslexia and other learning disabilities. For children or people who face these types of challenges, often typical educational institutes are not equipped to handle the disabilities, but essentially, it can often be a case of simply requiring a different, sometimes tailor-made approach, and this is exactly what the LLC offers.

The centre focuses on training the underlying cognitive skills, with specialized programs, and full support, which eventually facilitates the learning process for people who experience learning disabilities. The center does not only have highly qualified teachers and professional psychologists on hand, but also believes that support extends outside mere education and works to instill self esteem in their students and provide motivational support.  The program is split into two parts. First the individual is tested on some essential cognitive skills. After the results come through, the report will allow the team at the centre to tailor-make an individual brain exercise program, that's delivered over a 9-week schedule, which will essentially aid in bringing out the underlying cognitive skills.

The center works with one-on-one sessions where certified teachers conduct exercises with the students, which build specific skill sets and target the specific strengths and weaknesses the students faces. They also have regular parent feedback meetings in order to ensure that families also feel that progress is being made, and at the completion of the program a final screening test will display the positive changes made over the course of it. The Lighthouse Learning Center provides supper and courses in both English and Arabic, catering everything to the specific need of each individual.
