Whatever our complaints about Egypt may be, Masr omm el donya ya gama3a. From the Nile to its screensaver blue beaches, deserts to the dust-coated city that is Cairo, and everything in between, it’s definitely a country with character. These accounts highlight the ordinary and the extraordinary in our country and are definitely worth a follow to see Egypt captured in pixels.

Hatshepsut loved her festivals. The central axis of her Memorial Temple at Deir el-Bahri, is aligned with the front of Hatshepsut's Eighth Pylon at Karnak Temple, directly across the Nile. Deir el-Bahri was the end-point of the annual Beautiful Feast of the Valley. Each year the sacred barque of Amun-Re left Karnak Temple and travelled across the river, accompanied by the king, the priests and the happy citizens of Thebes, who celebrated the occasion with much merriment (and wine). By building this link between the two temples Hatshepsut emphasised the bond between herself and the god Amun-Re. This spectacular photo is taken from Hatshepsut's temple at Deir el-Bahri, looking east to the rising sun #Egypt#Giza#Luxor#Karnak#Amazing#Egyptian#pyramids#Africa#Cairo#Aswan#London#NewYork#Love#travel#egyptiangods#history#Ankh#Anubis#isis#Gods#ancientegypt#kings#Nefertiti#kemet#Pharaoh#Gold#Horus#kingTut

Wadi El- Rayan waterfalls, Al-Fayoum,Egypt  Wadi El-Rayan is a natural depression in the western desert of Egypt, 42m below the sea level. It consists of two lakes connected by Egypt's only waterfall. It was designated as a Protected Area in 1989 to protect the area's biological, geological and cultural resources. The Protected Area covers 1759 km2 in the southern part of El-Fayoum.  The waterfalls are one of the best known attractions in Wadi El- Rayan Protected Area. The area conserves large expanses of desert containing a variety of landscapes and formations. Rare and fascinating wild life is found in the desert of Wadi El- Rayan along with fossils of creatures of past epochs and cultural heritage sites from ancient civilizations. __________________________________________________________________________ Get a chance to be featured hash-tag #onlyonlyinegypt below your photo Share Egypt's beauty by your lens with us. __________________________________________________________________________ **follow @onlyinegypt **hashtag #onlyonlyinegypt **Be yourself (photo should be taken by you) Good luck and welcome to Egypt
