Hannah B: Dicul
Cairo's youngest and most enigmatic minimal producer has blown us away with her latest release - a sound far beyond her teenage years.
A mystery woman’s dance music tracks have somehow made their way into our Soundcloud newsfeed. Egyptian Hannah B has few tracks on her page, but much to our surprise, and after asking around, it's emerged that Hannah B is younger than 23, and has quite the knack for producing and has been putting out stuff for over two years.
And while it’s interesting to hear how Hannah B has grown as an artist over the last couple of years, perhaps the most notable achievement is her latest track titled Dicul which sees the producer focus way more on detail rather than layers. Her other work is a mixture of functional Tech House and extremely heady Minimal trips, with tracks like Lel, Repressed Logic and Salty Eyes using the fewest ingredients possible. The young producer has made dozens of simple, hypnotic drum and synth loops that stay in your head for days.
Hannah B's work is also exciting because she is doing something different and, although she is only getting started, she is showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon, and judging by her recent development as an artist, growing with every track, we can’t wait to hear what she has in store for us next.
From her obscure profile this is the only quote we could fish out: ''I wanted to create my own world, a world full of color where everyone could play, one big party that never ends.''
