Actress Yousra to Lead Judges' Panel at CIFF
Veteran Egyptian actress Yousra will be leading the judging panel for the International Competition during the upcoming 36th Cairo International Film Festival, along with a host of notable filmmakers and critics.
The all-famous Yousra, known for her roles in such classics as Youssef Chahine's An Egyptian Tale, has been selected to lead the eight-member judging panel for the International Competition at the 36th Cairo International Film Festival, set to be held from November 9 to 18.
The panel will also include such notables as acclaimed Chinese director Wang Xiaoshuai, Ethiopian director Haile Gerima, Dutch filmmaker Corrine van Egeraat, French director Dominique Cabrera, Lebanese film critic Ibrahim al-Arees and Greek film critic Alexis Grivas. Also on the panel are acclaimed Egyptian screenwriter Mariam Naoum, behind last Ramadan's hit series Segn el-Nessa, and cinematographer Nancy Abdel Fattah.
The competition is set to include 16 feature-length films, which will be screened to the public in the Main Hall of Cairo Opera House, screening twice daily from November 11 to 17.
