One often looks at Egypt’s barren landscape and sees nothing more than a lot of sand intermixed with splashes of colourful garbage. Of course, not all of Egypt looks like a desert wasteland, and providing an explosion of wonderful colours and smells is none other than high anticipated Orman Flower Festival. Considered one of the oldest annual spring flower festivals in the country, the Orman Flower Festival is in full bloom and will be running until May 2^nd. From the rare-to-find orchids and bonsai trees to lemon trees and tulips of all colours, this flower festival is definitely the colour Cairo desperately needs, and is the perfect place to visit for the family sick of walking around malls.
