On Wednesday, Egypt’s National Astronomy institute announced that the Islamic month of Ramadan will begin June 18th.
According to MENA, the head of Egypt’s astronomy institute, Abu Ela Amin, explains that his calculations suggest that Ramadan will begin 18th of June and will end the 16th July. As always, the start will be debated by Muslim scholars and astronomers as many depend on waiting to see the moon with their own eyes before declaring an official start to Ramadan.
