World Blockchain Summit Returns to Dubai on March 23rd & 24th

The 22nd edition of the World Blockchain Summit by Trescon, one of if not the biggest conference for all things blockchain, is returning to Dubai just as the UAE positions itself as the potential global capital of business in the metaverse. Taking place at Atlantis in the Palm (with an afterparty at Armani Hotel in Burj Khalifa), the summit brings togethers investors, government representatives and enterprises for inspirational keynotes, panel discussions, networking opportunities, showcases and pitch competitions from March 23rd to March 24th.

Between the DMCC Crypto Centre and the opening of new free economic zones for business and trading in Crypto, Dubai is well positioned to once again host the conference. Especially after Dubai established its first laws to regulate Crypto and NFTs, establishing the Dubai Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority to streamline and legitimise dealings with virtual assets of all kinds.

The conference will feature the Startup World Cup, a pitch competition led by Pegasus Tech Ventures that invites young minds to solve the planet's biggest challenges and move ecosystems forwards through cutting-edge innovations. Winners of this regional round will be offered the opportunity to fly to San Francisco to join 30 other startups to compete for the ultimate $1 million prize.

Under the patronage of HH Sheikh Juma Ahmed Juma Al Maktoum, member of Dubai's ruling family, the World Blockchain Summit will see speakers from some of the most groundbreaking companies in the virtual sphere, including Frederik Gregaard, CEO of Cardano Foundation, Faryar Shirzad, Chief Policy Officer of Coinbase, Hubertus Thonhauser, Chairman of the Tezos Foundation, and Navin Gupta, Managing Director in South Asia for Ripple.

A meeting of the minds such as this would typically be accompanied by a veneer of exclusivity, but StartupScene and NFTYScene will be flying to Dubai to grant you access to some of the most important moments of the World Blockchain Summit as they happen - be sure to tune in for all the latest news and updates
