Cairo Metro Line 3 Extends Hours on Thursdays for Trial Month
For a full month, riders will get to stay out longer with the extension of the line’s operating hours.
RATP Dev Mobility Cairo, the company in charge of operating Cairo Metro Line 3, announced a month-long extension of the line’s operating hours, running until 1 AM on Thursdays during the trial period.
This decision was made in response to marketing surveys, and hopes to improve the integration of the third line with other metro lines and public transport systems across Egypt.
The third line was authorised to commence trial operation in early November. This phase encompasses 11 stations and stretches for a total of 13.7 kilometres, catering to densely populated districts within the Giza governorate, including Imbaba, El-Bohi, and Gameat El-Dowal Al-Arabiya, extending as far as Cairo University.
