Eight New Logistics Zones Will Be Established in Sinai

Egypt's Ministry of Transport has unveiled a plan to establish eight logistics zones in Sinai, bolstering connectivity and driving economic growth in the region. These zones will be strategically positioned, linking them to the eastern border, as well as the ports of Arish and Taba.

The logistics zones form a crucial part of the wider Sinai development project, which includes the rehabilitation and construction of the 500-kilometre Al-Ferdan railway line. This line will connect residential and industrial communities in Sinai to the national railway network. Moreover, it will enable the export of goods from Sinai's factories through the ports of Arish and Taba.

The Egyptian government is also focusing on expanding Arish Port to transform it into an international hub integrated with the railway network. This development aligns with the creation of an integrated logistics corridor encompassing Arish, Taba, and the central Sinai heavy industries zone.
