D-CAF: Moving Bodies Move Minds

El Prince Falls from Grace

The notorious traditional restaurant has been shut down facing charges of storing and serving rotten meat...

Cairo’s legendary El Prince Restaurant has been shut down following the arrest of the shaabi chic eatery’s owner. Why?! We hear you screech, with memories of good old fashioned molokheya floating into your conscience… Well, sorry to be the bearers of bad news, but Imbaba District Attorney Alaa Samir has filed a law suit accusing the restaurant of selling rotten meat, unfit for human consumption.

Shut down for obvious safety concerns, news reports state that 600 kilograms of rotten meat (pictured above) and 500 kilograms of rotten sausage and liver were found on site, prompting the immediate closure of the bucket-list restaurant.
