The Ramses Railway Station is now equipped with free wheelchairs to help elderly passengers safely navigate the station.
The move is part of a nationwide vision to create and promote inclusive public spaces. The Egyptian government recently installed ramps across 65 sidewalks in Cairo, including major government buildings in Maadi and Zamalek.
As Egypt’s central railway station, Ramses Railway Station serves around 1.1 million Egyptian citizens daily.
