Publishing Exam Questions is Now Punishable by Up to 7 Years of Jail Time and EGP 200 Thousand Fine

A draft law has just been approved by the House of Representatives detailing new punishments for anyone who prints, publishes, broadcasts or promotes exam questions and answers ahead of the exams to help students cheat. Anyone found helping students cheat in this way will be subject to imprisonment for a period of at least two years with a maximum jail time of seven years, and a fine between EGP 100,000 and EGP 200,000.

Anyone who tries but fails to commit the above acts is subject to jail time for a period not less than one year and a fine between EGP 10,000 and EGP 50,0000. Furthermore, any students who commit these crimes will receive an automatic fail for all school subjects. Which just goes to show that cheating never pays - unless what you're paying is a fine, then by all means.
