Screwdriver: Back On Home Soil at Cairo Jazz Club

On Thursday, November 13, the popular cover band Screwdriver is once again finding its way to the hallowed halls of Cairo Jazz Club to perform their favourite Rock, Pop, Funk and Blues tunes from the past decade of their band history. In the last fourteen years, Screwdriver has entertained Cairo with the best bits of the history of music, as well as the latest hits, all with their own unique flavour attached to it.

Transforming covers into a new sound that can suit all tastes and ages, Screwdriver have played all over Cairo. But no other venue says Screwdriver as well as Cairo Jazz Club, where the band played monthly gigs before their summer hiatus this year. Unsurprisingly, it was Cairo Jazz Club that they recently chose as the platform for their massive reunion. In September, the band reformed to its original line-up at a huge celebration at the Mohandessin hotspot. Since then, they have recorded new material that they are now dying to present at their favourite address on Thursday for the first time ever. Prepare for a unique mix of familiar sounds, with the characteristic twists of Screwdriver.

In true Thursday night fashion, Screwdriver will now return to Cairo Jazz Club once a month to ignite the dance floor again. The first of their monthly gigs, however, promises to be a celebration of extraordinary measures. The band is excited to present their new sounds for the very first time, and are planning to wow the crowd big time. Refreshed by their six month creative pause, Screwdriver are ready to play all night long and turn on some seriously good times. Be sure not to miss out on welcoming them back to their favourite stage and dancing the night away.
